What's holding back Multiplayer?

I've been loving this mod for the last few weeks. What was the technical challenge keeping it from being playable in multiplayer?

Maybe we could recruit a few devs to keep up the work?

From what I gathered in other topics pertaining to this is that the game is no longer being worked on and may not resume development any time soon or at all.

That was my understanding as well, but that they had also released the source code so others could continue if they wanted?

Why they can't continue the mod???Is there an curse or what :D?Of course they are maybe not able to work on the mod cauze some problems or cauze they're got no pleasure to work on the mod. But they can actually continue the mod....The question is not if it will be develop;the question is when it will develop again i guess.....And if brightlord says i don t want to work on this mod anymore..thats comepletly okay....but why the hell no other guys can instead work on that beautifully mod

I'm not sure if they really need to add more to it, content-wise. It's a pretty complete game from that standpoint.

Maybe more monsters with different abilities to fight would be neat?

Multiplayer support would be the biggest thing that's missing I think.

Game doesn't know what's happening between players, that's what can't be done, the communication.

i meaned the multiplayer no the singlepayer....the single player is very nice.
