Diablo 1 HD Belzebub Documentation V3.0 (UPDATED, 21.01)
Hi all,
Changes made since last version:
- Completed all Character pages with some bonuses from Attribute points and also added effect, cost and synergy for Skills
- A few switches and additions to the docs format for easier use
Download Link: https://www.mediafire.com/?0ke321s14k4pbie
What else needs to be done:
- Correcting anything that is wrong.
- Finding out the Bonus number for regular Potions according to each character.
- Reaching the Required Magic of learning a couple of the high end spells, some 13-15 levels.
- Doing a proper Spell page with all info on spells and the synergies.
- Knowing the exact bonus of shrines like Mastery, Protection and Spooky.
- Figuring out what is left for Skill synergies during level progression for all characters.
- Maybe get some gifs for the Armor Looks page, otherwise i'll just put some static images.
- Adding the Weapon Speed and precise Attack Time value for all base weapon types, i just need a couple of white weapons.
- Hopefully a Prefixes & Suffixes list, thou i don't know how and i'll most likely guestimate, like i did on Crafting Recipes page.
- Completing the Crafting Recipes page, also with all the Required Levels to learn them, when i find more recipes.
- Making a Bestiary with images and description of skills, being a monumental chore that i will take on last.
The template is that of the Median XL docs and to use it just open "Documentation_-_DIABLO_1_HD_(Belzebub)_v3.0" with your preferred browser.

Nice idea :]
If I may, I'd suggest reducing the weight of the documentation by converting all GIF files to PNG (or at least all non-animated ones, since not all browsers support animated PNGs yet :/ ), then optimizing the weight of the PNGs.
There are various freeware tools for that. PNG Gauntlet would probably give you the best results since it chains several of them, but you can already get a pretty good result just by using PngOptimizer (which also tells you whether or not a GIF is animated, and has an option to ignore those which are).

@Tirpitz721 Thanks. And i'm not sure but i believe the Fountain of Tears takes base stats from one of your attributes (STR/DEX/VIT/MAG) according to your level and puts them in another attribute. I'll give an ex:
cLVL: 30
STR: 40
DEX: 30
MAG: 20
VIT: 20
And if it chose to go with taking VIT and putting into DEX it will be like this:
STR: 40
DEX: 60 (30 base+30 because your cLVL is 30)
VIT: -10 (20 base-30 that was put into DEX)
MAG: 20
Your life doesn't go negative, because over the 30 levels you progressed you gain some flat +life and +mana points, but it will be lowered. And i believe the stats chosen to move are random. This is mostly not so good, because for ex you might end up with -VIT and +DEX for your Necromancer, and it's not useful for your character.
But there is one instance where it can help you, thou other factors need to be right for it to work. For ex if you play any Fighter Character (Warrior/Rogue/Barbarian/Assassin) that doesn't invest into MAGIC and can't learn many spell levels, if you find an EERIE SHRINE (5 + Character Level/2 MAGIC) touch it and then drink a MAGIC ELIXIR (10 + Character Level/2 MAGIC) and pray that if you touch a Fountain of Tears it will give +MAGIC and -ANY OTHER, you will thus gain a few more points into MAGIC and learn spell levels you normally couldn't, even with +MAGIC dedicated gear (you should wear in this example). I know there is always a Fountain of Tears in front of the entrance to The Pit in Horazon's Sanctum, so you can rush to it if the other factors are present.
@ROLpogo I will update the stats now and by this weekend i'll release a new version. Right now all stats have the range that i have seen, so thank you for cross-checking with what you have, and noticing the mistake of DEX instead of VIT.

@Daimoth Anyone could start a wiki, but unless someone with access to game files contributes, it won't be more than the offline docs. As per stat caps, i don't know, all i guess.
@Noktis If you have time please correct what is wrong, it would be useful for the whole community to have exact values, i'd really like to know the exact armor class range of base armor types. With this i could apply the range to uniques/sets (that have affixes which enhance it). As i play i constantly update the value range, and future releases will strive to be as complete as possible. But there are some important things i can't do, like the affix list, because i don't know exactly how item levels work, does it depend on labyrinth level, character level, item quality?

I don't want to sound against it because i'm not, i will contribute on a wiki, but without official info all we can do is speculate and many more mistakes will be made. Sadly the devs are rarely present, the forum is a bit derelict, and being the first result of a Diablo HD search on Google if we don't make it more lively ppl will be reluctant to join the community, and in time less ppl will be still playing the mod. So if someone else wants to start a wiki i'll find some time to put into it as well, until then i'll keep visiting and helping out here on forum.
Nice work
Here to contribute, I extracted automatically the values from the game so these are real.
I could get the rest (unique, set, plans...) but I would have to modify some of my scripts, and if I do I'd rather know before hand an output format that you could use/apply quickly on your web page so that you don't have to modify everything by hand.
Else I could MP you how I did this so you could extract the values yourself to modify your web pages. Let me know

^Excellent.
It may be one of those situations where the devs would prefer for us to figure it out on our own - which is ultimately fine, I think.
Just disclaim which values aren't absolute and, you're golden.
Concerning gifs of the skills in action: there's an excellent little program called ScreenToGif. Check it out sometime, it's very handy for this sort of thing.

@Nikko635 Awesome! Base items will now have an exact list. If you want to extract the uniq/sets/etc please do so and i'll include it in the next version, i'm not sure if the devs agree with you showing how to do it, so it's best if just you knows how. Format is not important, i update the docs manually, it's an offline version and i know where everything is, so it doesn't take up a lot of time to do it.
@Daimoth This ScreenToGif should be perfect. It's late now but tomorrow i'll put it to work. I'll also use it on animated items, Armor Looks page and something else i'm probably forgetting now.
